CANCELLATION

In the event of a cancellation, which must be in writing to the owner, every effort will be made to re-let the property, however, if are unsuccessful we will happily use this as credit towards a future booking. Clients are advised to take out holiday cancellation insurance.

DIRECTIONS ACCESS AND DEPARTURE

Directions will be emailed in advance of arrival date. We operate a key safe system, the code will be sent following payment of full balance. Please remember to return key into safe upon departure.

Earliest check in is from 4.00 pm. We kindly ask that you check out by 10.00 am.

SMOKING

Smoking is not permitted anywhere inside the property or near the doors or in the garden. ​

PETS

We allow one small dog. As the garden is shared between both cottages, please be respectful of your neighbours.

Please ensure that all inoculations and flea treatments are up to date. We ask that you do not allow your dog into the bedrooms or on the furniture and ask that you clean up any mess from the garden. They should not be left unattended in the cottage at any time.

Most of the pubs in the village and beyond allow dogs and they are welcomed to join you when you eat there. Our bed and breakfast rate for him/her will be £30. 

NOISE AND DISTURBANCE

Out of consideration to neighbours and the environment, no loud music is to be played after 9 pm.

SECURITY DEPOSIT FOR BREAKAGES OF DAMAGE ​

The client shall take all reasonable and proper care of the property and its furniture, pictures, fittings and effects in or on the property and leave them in the same state of repair condition, cleanliness and tidiness as at the commencement of the rental period. A refundable security bond of £200 is applicable to all bookings. The client is required to inform the owner of any breakages or damage to the property. The client is bound to reimburse the owner for replacement, repair or extra cleaning costs for damage caused by the client. These costs will be taken from the security deposit, which will be refunded in full after the stay, and after the property has been inspected and left in order. We do not charge for small breakages.

LIABILITY

The owners of Alnmouth Cottages are not liable for any loss or damage to any client’s property or any property belonging to a member of the client’s party howsoever caused. ​
